Thoughts About the May 21st'rs

It's easy to get fooled. It's also easy to laugh and mock when someone else gets fooled -- but it isn't right. I like to think that I have my eyes open and am intelligent enough to see through oddball deceptions like this latest one, but if I'm honest with myself, "There, but for the grace of God go I." God's grace is the real reason I wasn't duped right along with the rest of the "May 21st'ers". I think that's what we need to remember about things like this -- even as God's grace toward us keeps us from the stupid and foolish, so should we extend grace to those who did get trapped into believing it.

So, instead of posting caustic comments or sharing articles that mock the 21st'ers, let's extend grace to them. I don't know anyone who bought into this thing, but you might and if you do, go to him/her letting them know that you aren't putting them down laughing at them, but are really glad they are still here to be your friend. The faith of the 21st'ers has to have been shaken pretty badly and they need to have their Christian brothers and sisters extending to them that unconditional Christian love Jesus talked about.
